Tea for Two
God's Word for You
by Cooky Morales
TODAY IS A GOOD DAY
Today is a good day to Hear the Voice of God calling and heed to it. We do not know the day of the return of the Lord but there will be a day when we all stand before our Creator. Is your name written in the BOOK OF LIFE. Have you received Jesus as your LORD AND SAVIOUR?
I remember speaking to someone about the Lord and His Love and their response was "I know but I'm not ready". You see they knew they weren't ready to give up what they think is important to them and their personal freedom. Their freedom to choose. They also had the misconception that they needed to clean up their act first and admitted they couldn't do it.
Let me advise you 'Seriously' HE is not waiting for you to change and become good enough to receive HIM and acknowledge HIM. Jesus already knows you can not do this on your own because we will never to good enough in comparison to HIS HOLINESS. Jesus paid the price for you so you may enter in HIS NAME. Jesus is in the renewing business. Let Him do the changing, cleansing, renewing, restoring and healing needed in your life; 'HE'S GOT YOU'.
Col. 3:10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed
in knowledge in the
image of its Creator.
Gal 3:14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to
Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ
Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
As far as freedom goes, you will gain a new freedom which last from here to eternity. The freedoms of the 'world' are temporal, here today and gone tomorrow. I can see my friends and loved ones at the clubs with the drink in their hands and the big cheese smiles and they think they are 'Livin' la vida loca'. Trust me there will be the day when it all seems pointless. I know of what I say because I was the original Disco Queen actually dancing on the lit and flashing disco floor where John Travolta strut his stuff in Night Fever (yes, I know I'm showing my age with that LOL). Just trying to make the point of what we think is great and fun today will turn on you and produce dissapointment or worst; and that is not freedom. And I am not just targeting the Club crowd group but all who think they can just hold off and put off God. Tomorrow's are not promised, they are a gift that is anticipated and we must redeem each day as Holy and wonderful and full of the evidence of His presence everywhere.
Choose Love, Choose Peace, Choose true Freedom, Choose eternal Love with a Joy that is unspeakable. CHOOSE CHRIST JESUS TODAY.
Decisions Determine Destiny
The Bible says, "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9
it's as simple as that. No gimmicks. By inviting Jesus Christ to sit on the throne of your heart, you will begin to discover the difference He can make in your life. True Freedom
To accept Christ as Lord and Savior, Pray this prayer from your heart:
"Dear Jesus, I believe that you died for me an rose on the third day. I confess I am a sinner in need of a svior, forgive me aof my sins, and come in my heart today and come in my life to stay. In Jesus Name, Amen."
Welcome to the body of Christ
(Likewise, I say to you there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents Luke 15:10)
P.S.
To backsliders, He is married to the backsliders and he never lets go and never divorces you; just come back to His Loving arms. yes, as simple as that.

Tea for Two....God's Word for you
Psalm 90:12
"Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom."
It has been said that how you start your day within the first 20 minutes sets the pace and tone for the entire day. My personal find is when I spend my first waking minutes with my Lord the day just seems sweeter. Even if something difficult does occur, there is a peace that surpasses all understanding and a hidden strength that rises up from within. We can hold on to the promise that Jesus will never leave us nor forsake us. Each day is a precious gift; we must open the gift and utilize it to its fullest. I determine to not just go through the day but live in the day; and hold to my heart the lessons shown. Live your life with the abundance that is promised learn the lessons and let your heart grow wiser.

WINNING WORSHIP
Pastor Ed Castro Blog: Winning with Worship
Many people are looking for an edge or a strategy for success.
I want to let you know one of the greatest habits you can posses to live life to the fullest capacity is worshiping God.
Worship is one of the greatest acts that changes our state and shifts our perspective from a victim to victor, from a worrier to a warrior, corrects our internal posture and helps us move from operating from ego (edging God out) to operating from Spirit.
Worship helps us take our eyes off our problems and place our affection on the problem solver.

Worship slows down our internal metronome so we can operate from a place of peace.
Worshiping God in church with song, clapping, rhythm and harmony releases within us a sense of a community, consecration, mission and releases endorphins in the pleasure center of our brains.
Worship God helps us tap into our original purpose in life.
Exd 9:13 NIV - Then the LORD said to Moses, "Get up early in the morning, confront Pharaoh and say to him, 'This is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me,
Exd 23:25 NIV - Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you,
Psa 96:9 NIV - Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth.
Psa 100:2 NIV - Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
Psa 29:2 NKJV - Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
Jhn 4:24 NKJV - "God [is] Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."
"When I worship, I would rather my heart be without words than my words be without
heart."
Lamar Boschman

Investing in eternity
Hi Guys,
There was an recent article reported that a household with an average
income of less than $20,000 spent an average of $1200 on their kids prom. Under
$20,000 or over $20,000, that’s a lot of money, especially for a half-eaten meal
and dance where people leave after getting their photos taken. That’s a large
investment in just a few hours. What’s also interesting is that is approximately
the same amount of money that households making up to $50,000 give towards
charity each year.
Don't get me wrong I'm not 'hating' on proms I just want to remind everyone
that is a Christ-Follower and member of V.O. North Brooklyn Church that we must
live a great life without neglecting the Great Commission.
Every week at our church, we have an opportunity to invest in eternity
through our offering (at church or thu our online option). It might seem like
we’re investing in just a few hours, but every gift we bring back to God can
make an impact in eternity. I was thinking about the $1,097 and how it could be
used at our church. Here’s a quick list of things I thought of ...
- It would pay for 8 teens to attend the Urban Training Center Book camp this Summer and transportation
- It would pay for a community outreach like 'Family-Fest Karaoke contest'
- It could help us put on a handball and B-Ball 3point contest in our area
- It can pay for us to produce and air a T.V Commercial
- It would pay for our Global Evangelism/Church planting 'United We Can' pledge to bring the gospel around the globe.
All of those opportunities will have a much longer impact than a night of
tuxedos/dresses,limousines, dinner, and moving like Jagger. Please pray about
investing today.
