Tea For Two

Tea for Two
Gods' Word for You

psalm 90:12 "Teach us to number our days aright, That we may gain a heart of wisdom."

Devotional:
It has been said that how you start your day within the first Twenty minutes sets the pace and tone for the entire day. My personal find is when I spend my first waking minutes with my Lord the day just seems sweeter. Even if something difficult does occur, there is a peace that surpasses all understanding and a hidden strength that rises up from within. We can hold on to the promise that Jesus will never leave us nor forsake us. Each day is a precious gift; we must open the gift and utilize it to its fullest. I determine to not just go through the day but live in the day; and hold to my heart the lessons shown. Live your life with the abundance that is promised. Learn the lessons and let you heart grow wiser.

MY NAME IS SOCORRO

I was not a welcomed expectation but Jesus had predestined a plan for my life. My Mom who herself was a mere child when she became pregnant, was beaten, punished, shunned and given potions to drink to try to induce a miscarriage. God had different plans and He held me. My Mom went into labor too early and I was born premature. Now this was over 50 years ago so chances of surviving were extremely slim. My Mom was told, "Take her home and enjoy her short time of life". So she did take me home and she did all she could do to help me survive. She sends up a prayer to heaven and asked for my life and vowed to name me after the Patron Saint of Children, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, so my actual name is Socorro. That is the Spanish translation for heavenly help. That is what God has given me my entire life (Lord I praise you) when all seemed hopeless at different times of my life, God was ever present. Always being my perpetual help with His never ending love. Even when I did not deserve it, He still loved me and preserved me. From my mother's womb unwelcome, to this present day redeemed, how could I not meditate on His Goodness and say Thank You Lord. Tu eres mi Socorro.

You are my heavenly help.

I try to walk like my heavenly Father and always give a helping hand to others; I've been told that I live up to my name. Our names are written in the book of life, I pray you are living up to yours.

Let us all Glorify His Name, the name above all names
